Intent to Sole Source- RPS-62 Radar Systems
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Navy, USMC Program Manager Ground Based Air Defense within Portfolio Acquisition Executive Mission Systems intends to award a sole-source contract to RADA Technologies, LLC for non-commercial RPS-62 radar systems and related support for the Marine Air Defense Integrated System program. The work includes software and firmware releases and licenses, spares, ancillary components, maintenance and repairs, and engineering services supporting the radar system. The RPS-62 is identified as the only known currently available solution that meets the Marine Corps' requirements and is compatible with the MADIS software baseline and the JLTV size, weight, power, and interface constraints. The government anticipates a hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee/firm-fixed-price contract with a five-year period of performance in Quantico, Virginia.
