Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, within the Department of the Navy, intends to award a sole-source contract for the overhaul and new manufacture of the MK-82 Director long life gyroscope, also known as the peanut gyro, for Navy and Foreign Military Sales customers. The work covers an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity firm-fixed-price contract for the gyroscope used in the Gyro Block Assembly of the MK-82 Guided Missile Director. The effort is planned as a five-year ordering period, with delivery F.O.B. destination, inspection and acceptance at destination, and data deliverables governed by Contract Data Requirement Lists; the technical data package may be export controlled, and receipt of that information is limited to active JCP-certified companies.
