66--RODMETER,UNDERWATER, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OF

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mech, is seeking sources for the repair and modification of underwater rodmeters. The work requires repairing twenty-five units under National Stock Number 7H-6605-002092055 and Technical Data Package Version 005, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. Because the qualified source retains unique proprietary data rights and engineering knowledge necessary to maintain the quality of the navigational instruments, the Navy intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under FAR 6.302-1. Although this is a notice of intent rather than a request for competitive proposals, alternate sources must qualify under the design control activity's approved procedures to be considered.
