Gila National Forest Tow Behind Rubber Tire Road Packer

The USDA Forest Service’s Gila National Forest is seeking a total small business set-aside procurement for one tow-behind rubber tire road packer to support aggregate road maintenance on National Forest System roads. The requirement is for a new, unused, current production unit compatible with Caterpillar 140 and 150 motor graders and built with at least a 90-inch compaction width, independent walking beam suspension, an oscillating frame, at least twelve 7.50 x 15 smooth rubber tires, a quick-attach mounting system, a hydraulic accumulator system, and an articulating hitch assembly. The equipment must be fully assembled, free from defects, delivered FOB destination to Silver City, New Mexico, and supported with product specifications, compliance documentation, and the manufacturer’s standard commercial warranty; award will be made using lowest price technically acceptable criteria considering technical capability, price, and past performance. Questions are due June 1, 2026, offers are due June 5, 2026, and delivery is required by October 15, 2026.
