The 418th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base, under the Department of the Air Force, is seeking a small-business quotation for the HAWCEYES effort to design and build a portable wireless communications network for test missions. The work includes two initial copies of a self-contained carry-on/carry-off system, design specifications, and support for ground checkouts, troubleshooting, and tuning, with the design retained for potential future copies. The system must use 802.11xx Wi‑Fi and/or Bluetooth, provide at least a 30-meter range, run on batteries for at least 30 minutes with 115VAC plug-in capability, support commercial VOIP on iOS and Android, connect to the aircraft intercom through a U-174 connector, and support up to 32 connected devices without aircraft modification.
