59--ADAPTER,CONNECTOR

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting a contract for adapter/connector hardware for a critical shipboard system. The work covers a complete connector assembly built to Naval Ordnance Systems Command Drawing LD162875 and MIL-C-82620, as modified by ECP 82.357, and includes required certifications, testing, and first article approval. The requirement is treated as special emphasis material with extensive quality, traceability, welding, inspection, and configuration-control provisions, and the government will perform first article testing on 4 units at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The complete RFP package must be signed and returned by the closing date, emailed or faxed proposals are acceptable, and NECO quotes will not be accepted.
