Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Navy, through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, is soliciting a small business set-aside contract for mattresses and mattress disposal at Bancroft Hall at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The work calls for furnishing 600 innerspring mattresses and removing and disposing of 500 existing mattresses in accordance with the solicitation’s statement of work. The mattresses must meet exact specifications, including 38" x 75" dimensions, no more than 7" thickness, and required fluid-proof, fire-retardant, anti-bacterial, anti-static, non-allergenic, and anti-bedbug characteristics; quotes will be evaluated on a pass/fail technical basis and price reasonableness. Delivery is scheduled for July 16, 2026 through August 27, 2026, disposal must be completed by August 27, 2026, deliveries are limited to one 53' trailer per week Tuesday through Thursday from 0700 to 1400, and electronic quotes are to be sent to Ashley Steele at ashley.n.steele8.civ@us.navy.mil.
