The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16 is conducting a presolicitation/sources sought market research effort for a compact/mini excavator for the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. The equipment is needed to support construction projects and repairs and must meet detailed technical requirements, including an air-conditioned cab, hand controls, an integrated display, a digger bucket, a dozer blade, soft turf or rubber tracks, a 360-degree swinging boom, hydraulic operation, and a diesel engine with at least 40 horsepower. The requirement also includes specified performance characteristics such as dig depth, reach, dump clearance, ground clearance, boom swing, and bucket capacity. Contractors are asked to submit company and small business information, SAM UEI, active government contract history, and availability under GWAC, GSA, or IDIQ vehicles. Responses are due by May 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM CST by email to Carmyn.Williams@va.gov.
