Specialty Steel RFI - Warstopper

The Defense Logistics Agency’s Warstopper Program is seeking information from industry to support a potential expansion of its Specialty Steel buffer. The request focuses on specialty steel used to produce DPAS-rated orders, including Triple Melt grades and specifications, and asks for annual demand, common intermediaries, lead times, five-year demand expectations, internal buffering practices, waste handling, minimum buy quantities, and surge-sensitive products. This is an RFI for planning purposes only, with proprietary specification information to be treated as business confidential, no commitment to future contracting, and no payment for response costs; any later solicitation would be posted on SAM.gov.
