The Medical Readiness Health Contracting Office-West, on behalf of William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss, Texas, is conducting a sources sought market research effort for rotary microtomes and related accessories. The requested items include two rotary microtomes, a foot switch, and a power cord, with responses intended to show capability to meet the listed quantities and salient characteristics. Key requirements include manual operation, approximately 24 mm specimen feed, section thickness settings of 1-60 µm, trimming thickness settings of 1-600 µm, and safety features such as an automatic electronic brake, handwheel safety locks, blade safety guard, blade ejector, removable antistatic waste tray, surface storage space, and a coarse feed wheel with clockwise or counterclockwise setting.
