FCC BUTNER - WATER CHEMICAL TESTING AND CONSULTATION SERVICES
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, is seeking a contractor to provide water chemical testing and consultation services at the Federal Correctional Complex in Butner, North Carolina. The selected contractor will design and implement a comprehensive water treatment program to minimize scaling, corrosion, and carryover across the facility's boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and closed-loop systems. Work requirements include providing chemical feed equipment, conducting bi-weekly on-site analyses, delivering quarterly testing supplies, providing at least eight hours of annual staff training, and ensuring personnel pass rigorous NCIC and credit background checks. The resulting single-award, firm-fixed-price contract will feature a one-year base period beginning October 1, 2026, followed by four subsequent one-year option periods.
