B-52 Data Interface Unit/Data Transfer Receptacle (DTR)

This Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Air Force serves as market research to identify potential sources capable of repairing the B-52 Data Interface Unit/Data Transfer Receptacle (DTR). Specifically, the government is seeking sources to repair the new Form, Fit, Function, and Interface (F3I) DTR (NSN 7025-01-738-4504AY, P/N P210015K0001-1) manufactured by Kihomac, Inc. The DTR is a critical Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) on the B-52 that transfers Offensive Avionics System information to and from the Data Transfer Cartridge. Currently, the government lacks the adequate technical data and rights required to compete this repair, meaning the item may require reverse engineering. The requested scope of work encompasses hardware repairs, obsolete parts resolution, and engineering support for Deficiency Reports and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS). Both large and small businesses are encouraged to submit responses. The Contractor Capability Survey requires interested parties to provide business information under NAICS code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and answer detailed questions regarding general capabilities, repair experience, commerciality, cybersecurity compliance (including DFARS and CMMC), and engineering services.
