The U.S. Consulate General in Sydney, on behalf of the Department of State’s Mission Australia, is seeking a firm-fixed-price contractor to provide after-hours answering services for U.S. diplomatic facilities in Australia. The work includes serving as the first point of contact after hours, screening calls from within Australia and internationally, providing limited information, resolving non-emergency issues, and directing emergency calls to the appropriate duty officers for current and future Mission Australia locations. Coverage is required 24/7 on weekends and holidays and from 5 PM to 8 AM AEST on non-holiday weekdays, with a one-year base period and four one-year options, native-level English operators, local knowledge of Australian time zones and emergency services, and strict confidentiality of duty officer information. Quotations must be submitted electronically by July 8, 2026, at 12:00 noon, and offerors must be registered in SAM; award will go to the responsible company with the lowest acceptable price.
