The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Philadelphia is seeking to procure turbine rotor blades. The requirement is for 879 units of National Stock Number 0R-2840-017141155-B8, reference number 5144T23P02, with delivery designated as FOB Origin. Because this item is flight-critical and the government lacks the technical data to support full and open competition, the agency intends to negotiate with only one pre-approved source under FAR 6.302-1. Unapproved sources must submit a comprehensive source approval request package to NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support to be considered, though award will not be delayed to wait for new source evaluations.
