Contract Opportunity Analysis

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health is seeking proposals for the Comprehensive Organ System Modeling in Outer Space program to investigate if microgravity in Low Earth Orbit accelerates human tissue aging. Awardees will use microphysiological systems and organoids to quantify and compare tissue aging rates across the brain, heart, uterus, and kidney using adult donor tissues. The program is structured into a 27-month Phase I focused on establishing autonomous systems for a spaceflight twin study, followed by a 15-month Phase II to build disease models and conduct drug screening. Key requirements include establishing a public-private partnership with a Fortune 100 biopharmaceutical company and collaborating with government-selected commercial spaceflight providers. Proposals for these Other Transaction Agreements are due by October 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time and must be submitted to COSMOS@ARPA-H.GOV.
