641 Replace Lighting
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Air Force has issued a combined synopsis/solicitation for project CTGB263202 to replace obsolete interior lighting in Building 641, Room 116, at Grissom Air Reserve Base in Indiana. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, and equipment to replace 24 fluorescent fixtures and 30 recessed CAN lights with a unified LED system, central lighting control cabinet, and four digital remote-control stations. To comply with cybersecurity directives, the new lighting system must utilize a 100 percent hardwired control topology, with all wireless, Bluetooth, and RF technologies strictly prohibited. Work must be completed within 90 calendar days of receiving the notice to proceed, and proposals will be evaluated on a lowest-price, technically acceptable-style framework using past performance, technical capability, and price. Although the effort is currently unfunded, proposals must be submitted via email by September 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM EDT to Contract Specialist Makinsey Fields.
