Intent to Sole Source 3 acres of land at Kennedy Space Center

NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) has issued a Notification of Intent to Sole Source for approximately 3 acres of under-utilized land adjacent to the Turn Basin. NASA intends to execute an Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) with a long-standing commercial partner and current tenant. This partner has expressed strong interest in occupying the land to support NASA's mission by advancing the commercial space economy, specifically for barge storage and maintenance to facilitate the delivery of out-sized cargo. Responses from other interested parties are due by May 26, 2026. These responses will be used to assess additional market interest and determine the best value for the government regarding the potential out-granting of the facility. If no other responses are received, and pending successful due diligence and negotiations, NASA may proceed with a real estate instrument and related cooperation agreements with the proposed tenant. This action aims to support agency missions, U.S. national space policy, and maximize public benefit.
