Newborn Screenings

The Department of the Air Force, AFTC Installation Contracting Division at Eglin Air Force Base, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to the State of Florida Department of Health for newborn health screenings. The required services entail screening newborns for metabolic, hereditary, congenital, and specific environmental risk factors for the 96th Medical Group in compliance with Florida Statute 383.14. As the state-mandated regulatory authority and central laboratory repository, the Florida Department of Health is the sole provider capable of administering this statewide screening program. The anticipated one-year period of performance runs from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027, and written capability statements or questions must be submitted electronically to Christina Blair at christina.blair.3@us.af.mil by November 9, 2026, at 8:00 A.M.
