Ground Based Radar Digitization (GBRD)
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command, through the BMC3I portfolio acquisition office, is soliciting prototype proposals for Ground Based Radar Digitization to modernize critical ground-based radar systems. The work covers eight globally positioned radars and aims to replace aging capabilities with a government-owned, modular open systems architecture that upgrades the systems from the antenna front end through the back-end processors and communications. The acquisition will use a middle-tier rapid prototyping approach, with multiple expected fixed-price OTAs, a compete-and-collaborate model, a single authoritative digital ecosystem, and an initial demonstration on four radar sites before broader fielding. Eligible firms must have an approved DD Form 2345 to access the Bidder’s Library, and proposals are due May 29, 2026, with awards anticipated in June 2026.
