Notice of Intent to Award - SIEMENS INDUSTRY LLC

The Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Service, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Siemens Industry Inc. for preventative maintenance services at the Crownpoint Healthcare Facility in New Mexico. The contractor will perform maintenance, repairs, and programming for the facility's existing, proprietary Siemens Building Automation System, which provides centralized control and monitoring of the hospital's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This sole-source restriction is due to exclusive licensing and proprietary system agreements, as only Siemens possesses the manufacturer authorization and technical expertise required to service the system without compromising its warranty or integrity. The anticipated contract features a base year plus two option periods.
