TECHNOLOGY/BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY Optimized Placement of Quartz Rotators in Reverser and Other Solutions to Mitigating Thermal Depolarization
Contract Opportunity Analysis
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, operated by Lawrence Livermore National Security under DOE contract, is offering a collaboration opportunity to further develop and commercialize its technology for optimized placement of quartz rotators and other passive approaches to mitigating thermal depolarization in laser systems. The work centers on novel, cost-effective architectures and techniques for high-average-power and high-peak-power lasers that can improve performance and extend system life. The technology is at TRL 3-5 and is aimed at industry partners with the ability to commercialize it, with applications including compact laser particle accelerators, fusion energy class laser drivers, high-precision materials processing, EUV lithography, remote sensing, and high-resolution imaging. Interested companies should submit an electronic or written statement of interest that includes company name and address, a point of contact with phone number, and a description of relevant expertise and facilities, and email responses should include the Notice ID and/or title; written responses may be sent to LLNL Innovation and Partnerships Office in Livermore, California, Attention: IL-13924and2025-198.
