Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23, is seeking a reliable, FDA-registered contractor to provide blood, blood products, reference laboratory testing, and therapeutic apheresis services for the Nebraska Western-Iowa VA Health Care System. The selected contractor must furnish all personnel, facilities, and supplies necessary to collect, process, store, and deliver human blood components and derivatives to the Omaha VA Medical Center, as well as provide on-site therapeutic apheresis services. All blood products must be drawn and processed in the United States, and the contractor must maintain compliance with FDA regulations, AABB standards, and active CLIA certification. This unrestricted procurement will result in a five-year, Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract consisting of a base year from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, followed by four one-year ordering periods.
