Rygge Munitions Storage rea Expansion
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District, on behalf of the U.S. Air Force, is soliciting proposals for the expansion of the Munitions Storage Area at Rygge Air Station in Norway. The scope of work includes constructing twenty earth-covered ammunition storage magazines to accommodate a total net explosive weight of 3,000,000 pounds, as well as supporting facilities such as three concrete munitions assembly pads, gravel roads, bermed areas, lighting, security fencing, and utility connections. This construction project is a competitive, firm-fixed-price, design-bid-build contract procured via a Request for Proposal using the tradeoff source selection process in support of the European Deterrence Initiative.
