Contract Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Coast Guard Base Miami Beach, Facilities Engineering Division, is procuring replacement high-performance marine fenders. The contractor must manufacture, test, and deliver three foam-filled marine fenders measuring five feet in diameter by eight feet in length, complete with Type 316 stainless steel rigging hardware and technical data submittals. These fenders require a 100 percent closed-cell foam core, a minimum one-inch elastomeric polyurethane skin in non-marking marine black, and must meet specific energy absorption and reaction force thresholds. This 100 percent small business set-aside will result in a firm-fixed-price contract awarded to the responsible offeror providing the lowest-priced, technically acceptable quotation. Quotes and technical submittals must be submitted electronically to the primary contact, Ulric M. Waldron, at Ulric.Waldron@uscg.mil by September 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST.
