Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Charter Communications Operating LLC to provide dedicated fiber internet and static IP systems. The contractor will deliver a reliable, high-speed connection to support assistive technology and smart devices, such as environmental control systems, tablets, and computers. This dedicated system is required for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department on the second floor of Building 38 at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa, Florida, as these clinical devices cannot utilize the standard VA Network or VA Public Wi-Fi. Although this is not a formal request for quotations, interested parties may submit capability statements to Contracting Officer Katrina Tavares at katrina.tavares@va.gov. All capability submissions must be received via email no later than 1:00 PM EST on September 25, 2026.
