Contract Opportunity Analysis

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka, is seeking a contractor to provide a temporary, pierside Standby Emergency Diesel Generator system for the USS New Orleans (LPD-18) at the naval facility in Sasebo, Japan. The contractor must supply, install, and maintain a 1,000 kW, 440VAC, 60Hz, 3-phase self-contained generator and connect it to the ship's shore power station to ensure continuous back-up electrical power during maintenance. The scope of work also requires providing a double-walled fuel tank, a spill containment berm, a secure fence, and conducting training, weekly maintenance checks, and monthly operational tests. Eligible offerors must hold an active U.S. Navy MSRA/ABR Agreement in the Japan Region and operate in compliance with DFARS 252.225-7042. Proposals must be submitted to primary contact David Brudnok at david.p.brudnok.civ@us.navy.mil by the extended deadline of September 14, 2026.
