The Indian Health Service is offering a funding opportunity through the Tribal Self-Governance Planning Cooperative Agreement Program, aimed at supporting nonfederally recognized Native American Tribal Organizations interested in entering or expanding their participation in the Tribal Self-Governance Program (TSGP). This program provides resources for Tribes to conduct essential planning phases, which include legal and budgetary research, as well as internal organizational preparation necessary for the administration of health care programs. The funding, with an award ceiling of $180,000 and an estimated total program funding of $720,000, is intended to facilitate informed decision-making regarding the assumption of Programs, Services, Functions, and Activities (PSFAs) from the Indian Health Service. Interested applicants must submit their proposals by June 20, 2024, and can direct inquiries to the Division of Grants Management at DGM@ihs.gov or by phone at 301-443-5204.
