The U.S. Geological Survey is offering a cooperative agreement opportunity for partners affiliated with the Chesapeake Watershed Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU). This funding aims to support research on the prediction and assessment of post-wildfire impacts, including changes in water quality, sedimentation, and recovery processes, which are critical for land and resource managers responding to wildfire crises. The awarded funding will range from $80,000 to $300,000, with applications due by 5:00 p.m. ET on April 29, 2024. Interested applicants can reach out to Faith Graves at fgraves@usgs.gov for further information.
