The Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology, is seeking to procure Eaton Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Capacitors. These capacitors are used for the replacement of existing capacitors in the Gaithersburg facility. The UPS capacitors are specifically required for the Eaton UPS model 9395-550-550-CC. Due to safety concerns and warranty management, only authorized Eaton service technicians are allowed to perform the replacement and calibration of the UPS to support the new capacitors. The procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The contractor must provide two Eaton 9395 AC and DC Oil Filled Capacitor Banks per installed UPM, totaling four UPMs. The scope of work includes shutting down the UPS, removing and replacing the capacitors, reconnecting electrical connections, recalibrating the UPS, and ensuring proper functionality. The work must be done during off hours and scheduled in advance with the Computer Facilities Services Team. The contractor must be an authorized Eaton service engineer with at least two years of experience. The contractor is responsible for performing the repairs, ensuring work precautions, cleanliness, and final acceptance. The payment terms are 30 days net after NIST final acceptance. Delivery is required to the NIST Gaithersburg campus in Maryland.
